CAD Faxing Procedure

To All Public Safety Agencies:

As of February 15, 2005, all CAD Reports will be automatically faxed to your Departments. When you are back in service, please call by radio and your time out will be given over the air, then a report will be faxed.

There is no need to request over the Airwaves or by phone for the CAD to be faxed, however, if the report is not received within fifteen (15) minutes, then, please call by phone and request the report.

Fire Departments – If you are responding on a vehicle accident and the Police have requested vehicle registration and operator information, this would be on the CAD report and can not be faxed to your Department. You will have to call in for your times in these instances.

The times and unit information may not always be accurate. The times and units have to be manually stamped or logged in by the dispatcher, so if he is very busy, he may acknowledge you, but may not immediately stamp the time. Also units may even be missed being logged on the CAD report.

Please post this information for all appropriate personnel to read.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Respectfully,
David L. Fox
911 Coordinator
