Swiftwater/Flood Response Team (Team 670)

MISSION

It is the mission of Somerset County to provide highly specialized personnel and resources, leveraged from local and state levels, for response to regional or statewide natural disasters and emergency events.

The primary role of Somerset County is to proactively plan for regionalized or statewide flooding events and to develop and coordinate trained, equipped and protected swift water rescue and flood evacuation resources for mutual aid, intrastate requests for service, as well as, to provide large scale incident management coordination and support, as applicable, in support of overall incident operations.
