The Sheriff’s primary responsibilities are to the courts. These responsibilities include the responsibility to escort and transport prisoners, keep order, protect judges, serve notice on litigants, provide security in the Somerset County Courthouse, carry out orders and warrants issued by the judges, enforce injunctions and perform other duties as may be assigned by the court.
