
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Somerset County Fiscal Department is to provide timely, accurate and meaningful financial information and assistance the County by supporting management decision-making, and to demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability and regulatory compliance to GASB. The Fiscal Department promotes the efficient use and stewardship of County resources and compliance with laws, regulations and reporting requirements through technical financial and analytical skills, and expertise in accounting knowledge.
Description of Fiscal Department:
The Fiscal Department consists of the following offices of the County: Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Budget and other fiscal functions. These offices are responsible for the daily processing of financial issues surrounding the County’s internal and external environments.
