Approve Minutes

Land Preservation Program

Tokar-Ickes to approve the Certification to the Pennsylvania Department of
Agriculture that a total of $4,033.33 is available for agricultural
conservation easement purchases in connection with the AGRICULTURAL LAND
PRESERVATION PROGRAM for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2009 from the
Clean and Green Tax Rollover Funds.

Motion by James C. Marker, seconded by Pamela A. Tokar-Ickes to approve the exoneration of the 2008 County Real Estate and Interim 62 taxes for a parcel owned by Lutheran Camp Association, Inc., Reference No. 21-0-059230 in the amount of $520.29 plus penalties and interest.

This property was added to the tax rolls in 2008 and had previously been exempt as it is the residence of the Camp Sequanota Program Director. The property has been removed from the tax rolls by Somerset County Board of Appeals and will be exempt in 2009 as well as future years.

Tokar-Ickes to rescind the motion of the December 9, 2008 Regular Commissioners’ Meeting, accepting the resignation of REBECCA LAMAR of Portage, Pennsylvania and reinstate her to the position of Accountant in the Fiscal Department at an annual salary of $29,355, effective January 21, 2009, as well as approve a leave without pay for the period of January 5-20, 2009.

Meeting was held at 10:56 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Board Room.

Commissioners’ Meeting approving the Request for Vesting submitted by REBECCA
LAMAR of Portage, Pennsylvania, as she was reinstated to her position as Accountant
in the Fiscal Department effective, January 21, 2009.

William Vescio of Bryan Funding, Inc., presented the
Investment Review for the Somerset County Employees’ Retirement Fund for the Fourth
Quarter of 2008, a copy of which is attached hereto.
